Diamond in the Rough

The inspiration for “Diamond in the Rough” was a hike into the mountains at Grand Teton National Park, WY. The hiking trail required a short ferry across Jenny Lake and hiking a few miles into a place called Cascade Canyon. This scene is quite different than the typical mountain panoramas in this region. The meandering falls in the distance seemed to speak the title of this painting. Unframed.
